Company Story
Our story
BORNEOU was formally launched in 2022, but its foundation was built several years earlier.
Its roots came from two complementary practices: K7DIY, with its focus on digital fabrication, CNC technology, and creative making; and diFA Icons Pratama, with experience in civil engineering, construction, and interior contracting.
The convergence of these disciplines shaped the way BORNEOU approaches design today — where creativity is supported by engineering, technology is applied through making, and ideas are developed with an understanding of how things are actually built.
Working from Borneo, BORNEOU explores how materials, design, engineering, and fabrication can come together to create contemporary products and solutions for wider markets.
Today, BORNEOU works across product design, creative manufacturing, custom development, and material exploration — developing ideas from early sketches through to physical making.
Philosophy
What we believe
- Great potential exists beyond major cities.
- Learning globally strengthens local capability.
- Innovation should create meaningful impact.
- Success is measured by how many people grow together.
- BORNEOU represents Borneo Island and carries the responsibility to showcase its potential to the world.
BORNEOU is solution-centric, not product-centric. Products are merely the consequence of a meaningful process, not the final destination — evidence of the process, never its purpose.
Vision
Vision for 2045
BORNEOU aims to create lasting impact by becoming a catalyst for regional transformation through innovation, knowledge, engineering, and creative manufacturing. Success is measured by the ecosystem that grows around BORNEOU — not by company size, revenue, or market share.
Mission
Our purpose
BORNEOU exists to become part of a transformation by building an ecosystem that elevates Borneo's potential through design, engineering, innovation, and creative manufacturing, creating opportunities for more people while bringing regional excellence to the global stage.
